Playing with Mo

February 26th, 2010

I love playing with my Mo, and even in her old age she is very youthful. We are thankful for her health. She eats a very balanced diet, but when she started to get older in age her diet change just wasn’t enough to keep her healthy. So we bought her an orthopedic dog bed. Orthopedic dog beds are an amazing purchase for the four legged members of your family. Your dog might be just like our Mo, a puppy that hasn’t grown up, and we want to keep her that way happy and healthy. Along with a balanced diet, her bed keeps her mobile, and insures she rest easy, and wake without pain each day. An orthopedic dog bed should be in every home, Mo and her friends will thank you.

Virtual Currency

Now that virtual worlds are coming into mainstream – with environments like Second Life, as well as all the other Massively Parallel Online Role Playing Games slowing growing in user numbers – it’s only a matter of time before virtual work, and virtual currency start emerging from the woodwork. Virtual work is easy to relate to… you can easily conceive of online jobs and online tasks, while virtual currency is just a step away from that. Because quite naturally, if you work, you are expecting to be paid. What will the different currencies be and who’s going to define the exchange rates? That will be fun and an awesome thing to watch develop.

Two Computers In One

February 23rd, 2010

The great thing about virtualization technology is that it’s now FREE! I own a dual core HP laptop running Windows XP on 4 GB of RAM. The neat thing about it is, I use VMware Workstation to run a virtual PC on that laptop, effectively giving me two PCs! Now I can easily separate my work environment from my play environment (e.g. I am now typing this memo on my virtual PC). The 2.0 GHz CPU and RAM are more than sufficient to run most of my needs on either PC. I strongly recommend this setup and should probably write a blog about it soon.

Absolutely awesome

What would you do every day if you didn’t have to work? Sleep for sure! Sleep more! If I didn’t have to work ever again, I would probably sleep at least 10 hours a day… and I would look forward to the next sleeping time! I think this is because I have so far worked so hard that I feel I need to compensate for all those long hours at the office. I’ve been working for 14 years and for most of that 80 hour work weeks… so it has been a ride. So although I would also probably play football or read a book or get on the internet every day, I would mostly look forward to honest to goodness sleep.
