The one thing I can’t stand about my best friend is the way she wears her makeup. There are so many times I want to say to her “you look like a clown”. I do try to be diplomatic about it and offer subtle tips to get her to see that less is really sometimes more. I am pretty sure if I came right out and told her, she would have a breakdown. Crying, name calling and shouting would ensue. She very much thinks she is “in the know” when it comes to fashion and cosmetics. I wish I had the guts to just tell her the truth. Perhaps, one day, I will.

People make the dogs wear specially designed coats to protect them from cold and rain, and sometimes just to make them look smart and different. Companies have come up with a variety of tiny dog clothes and dog lovers buy them for their pet without looking twice at the price. Dogs are treated like children by their owners and they are looked after extremely well. Now days there are special salons for dogs in which they are cleaned and washed and then properly attired to make them look smart.

When I was 18, I succumbed to the pressure of smoking to be cool. That is one of the biggest regrets I have in life. I became instantly addicted. If I could go back and tell ny former naïve self how bad and addicting smoking is, I would do it in a heartbeat. I probably wouldn’t listen because at that age I knew it all. The pressure form the cool kids to smoke was extremely overwhelming. I really wish I could go back in time and NEVER have touched a cigarette. It was not worth it. I realize now I would have fit anyway, but I still wanted to be cool.
